Ozarks Tech – Airframe & Powerplant Training Center

The Ozarks Tech Airframe and Powerplant Facility is a new 30,000 SF building located at the Springfield-Branson regional airport. The program focuses on aviation maintenance with the goals of providing workforce development and training skilled technicians for airlines flying to southwest Missouri. The facility is designed around a 10,000 s.f hangar where the majority of the large aviation equipment will be located. Specialized labs, classrooms and support spaces are organized around the hangar where a 60’ wide hangar door opens toward the airport runways. Views were thoughtfully designed from corridors within the building into the hangar and from the second-floor observation lounge toward the airport runways.
